The Adventure Dept. is a creative project from designers and parents Kasia Wisniewski (mostly) and Nick Foley (sometimes). Inspired by and a love letter to the wild imaginations of their three young children, The Adventure Dept. develops products and tutorials for kids and their families.

Kasia’s degree in fashion design from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and subsequent specialization in bridal and evening design has really come in handy now that they have a fancy-dress-obsessed kid. Meanwhile, Nick’s industrial design degree and deep experience in tech and 3D printing makes prototyping treasure boxes a real snap.

Kasia + Nick and their kids live on 60 acres of coastal California forest, where they run around, make stuff, and are never not doing house projects.
